For more information, please visit www.thermofisher.com. Being part of the Southeast Asia Accounting – General Ledger Team, you will manage and lead a team of 3 GL Accountants, overseeing 7 entities. You will be responsible for the critical financial accounting activities from monthly/quarterly/yearly close to statutory reporting. You will also play a key role in process improvement and automation projects. Key tasks include but not limited to:

• Manage month/quarter/year-end financial close activities, adhering to corporate reporting timeline
• Review monthly accounting entries, financials and balance sheet schedules, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policy
• Maintain full ownership of the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Review monthly/quarterly financials and present fluctuation analysis as part of internal review
• Collaborate with Finance Operations team and support on accounting matters
• Collaborate with Finance Planning & Analysis team and support on accounting matters
• Manage, coach and develop the team, enabling them to grow, both technically and professionally
• Work with auditors on external audit, ensuring audit completion and signoff within the statutory timeline
• Maintain sound internal controls in accordance with SOX and US GAAP requirements
• Support the accounting function on balance sheet reconciliation topics in Blackline
• Work with corporate tax agent and review tax schedules for annual corporate tax filing
• Work with tax consultant and support Transfer Pricing compliance topics
• Review and file quarterly GST returns
• Review yearly US tax reporting package
• Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in current processes, leading process improvement projects to better organization’s goals and objectives
• Participate in ad-hoc projects, based on business requirements

• Accounting degree or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years experience
• Experience in MNC is preferred
• Experience in multiple ERPs is preferred
