For our office in Singapore, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant - General Accounting & Admin to support the Finance & Accounting team in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. The role focuses on non-trade invoice processing, staff claims, fixed assets, lease accounting and general ledger entries. The role also provides administrative support and assists in treasury and tax functions.

Main Responsibilities





1. Accounts Payable (Non-Trade & Office-Related Invoices)


Receive, verify, and process all non-trade and office related vendor invoices to the correct GL accounts and cost centres. Record recharge invoices from related companies.




2. Credit Card Transactions


Collate and review monthly credit card expense reports from cardholders Post credit card transactions into the accounting system with appropriate GL coding. Follow up on any missing documentation or clarification from cardholders.




3. Fixed Assets Management


Record acquisition, disposal and depreciation of fixed assets in the accounting system. Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure alignment with accounting records.




4. Lease Accounting


Support the recording and maintenance of lease liabilities and right-of-use assets in accordance with accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 16). Post monthly lease entries (amortisation, interest, and remeasurement where necessary).




5. Salary, Staff Claims & Expensify System


Post salary costs to the appropriate GL codes and cost centres. Review and post staff reimbursement claims (via Expensify or manual forms) to the correct GL codes and cost centres.




6. Bank Postings (Non-Cargo/Admin Related)


Post non-cargo related bank transactions (e.g. office payments, staff reimbursements, petty cash, admin-related payments etc.). Reconcile all bank postings to statements and ensure supporting documentation is in place. Assist in the monthly reconciliation for all bank accounts.




7. Intercompany Reconciliations


Perform monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances.




8. GST/Tax Support


Assist in preparation of quarterly GST workings.




9. Treasury/Payment Backup


Support in treasury functions, including payment processing and online bank transactions as required.




10. Audit Support


Assist with documentation and information requests during annual statutory audits.




11. General Administrative Support


Perform general administrative tasks, including filling and document archiving. Support ad-hoc tasks and team initiatives as assigned.



Desired Skills & Experience






Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. At least 2 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines Proactive, adaptable and willing to take on multiple roles in a dynamic finance team. * Good communication and interpersonal skills
