Our client is a Japanese entertainment company producer of collectible card games and trading cards, publisher of mobile apps and games, promotional items and many other venues, which was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Tokyo
:
Work with the Accounts team to ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
Liaise with Japan HQ for accounts-related matters
Assist in financial analysis, reporting and consolidation
Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly journal entries company's products sales and costing, etc.
Maintain proper accounting records and schedules, including tracking of prepayment and accrual
Prepare royalty/sales report for licensors
Ensure calculations for digital platforms sales reports are up to date with the latest changes in tax and charges
Assist in reviewing financial reporting package for subsidiary company
Review and discuss accounting treatment on new products / current procedures with Manager
Assist in preparing and computing S45 withholding tax
Liaise with internal stakeholders and perform monthly intercompany reconciliation
Coordinate and liaise with auditor/tax agent/IRAS/any external parties whenever required
Compute monthly average exchange rates for Accounts and other departments' use
Continuously review and improve internal control and workflow to enhance efficiency and compliance
Other ad hoc duties assigned by the company
Job Requirements:
At least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Accountancy or Finance, or ACCA/ISCA/CPA
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with more years of experience may be considered for the senior executive role.
Well-versed in MS Office, especially in Microsoft Excel
Experience in similar industry or professional accounting firms will be preferred
Meticulous and attentive to details
Excellent at schedule management and multi-tasking
Hand-on experience with Oracle NetSuite system would be advantageous
Adept at working both independently and in a team
Proficiency in Japanese language would be advantageous in order to liaise with Japanese-speaking associates
Able to start work immediately or within short notice
Compensation:
Working location: CBD, Singapore
Working hours: Monday to Friday (8.5 hours/day including 1 hour lunch break)
Flexible reporting time to work between 8.30am to 10am
