Job Description

Hong Leong Asia Ltd.'s Building Materials unit (BMU) is one of the largest suppliers of essential building materials to the construction industry of Singapore. BMU sells all grades of ready-mixed concrete out of seven separate locations in Singapore. It is also the largest producer of precast concrete elements for public housing construction, all of which are fabricated in its factories in Singapore and Senai, Malaysia.BMU imports and distributes cement in Singapore and also operates a granite quarry in Johor, Malaysia. BMU is reputable for the quality of its products, and for the reliability in its deliveries. The proof of this can be seen in the many buildings and infrastructure developments in Singapore, which have been constructed using BMU's products.

Accounts Receivable:

• Assist in Delivery Order generation for ICPH and Tuas Plant
• Assist in preparing customer invoices and ensuring timely issuance to customers
• Assist in Debit Note generation to the customers
• Assist in preparing the paper work for the progress claim to the customers
• Perform receipts matching and bank in reconciliation
• Assist in preparing monthly AR reports and supporting schedules

Accounts Payable:

• Verify supplier invoices, delivery orders and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness
• Assist in posting supplier invoices into the ERP system
• Prepare payment vouchers and support payment processing
• Assist in month-end closing by ensuring all invoices are recorded on time
• Assist in updating the monthly report requested by management

General Support:

• Maintain proper filing and documentation of finance records
• Support reconciliation exercises (e.g. supplier statement vs ledger, bank reconciliation)
• Support ad-hoc projects as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Accounting knowledge
• Microsoft office (Excel, outlook etc)
• Analytical skill
• Communication skill
• Currently pursuing a Higher Nitec/Diploma/Degree in Accounting

We have company shuttle bus provided from Woodlands MRT. Interns will have annual leave and medical leave if the internship more than 3 months.
