About the Client


The client is a supply chain management company headquartered in Chicago, and operating globally. With their deep industry experience, market intelligence and cutting-edge technology, they deliver significant savings and value through transparent and fully optimized world-class supply chains.

Job Summary:


The company is growing! With the increase in business comes the decision to expand the existing team. The company is now looking for an additional Accounts Officer who is responsible mainly for accounts payable and partial account receivable, month-end close and day-to-day running of financial accounting functions including balance sheets reconciliations, assistance with management reports, and other supporting functions.

:

  • Processing various supplier invoices with varying degree of complexity ensuring the supplier accounts are up to date and paid on time
  • Review supplier statement and address overdue items
  • Prepare claim invoices and credits
  • Raise customer invoices on a regular basis
  • Active role in managing cash in conjunction with Senior Finance Manager and subject to appropriate internal controls and segregation of duties
  • Assisting in journal entries and related documentation
  • Assisting with annual external financial statement audit
  • Assisting with regular and frequent Bank and McDonald’s audits of the operations of Fulton Market Group
  • Working with all parties in the continuous improvement of system and processes.


Requirements


Skills and Personal Attributes:
  • Organised, accurate and with attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must have the ability to be hands on
  • Ability to improve systems and procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial data
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, writing and editing
  • Experience dealing with key stakeholders
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a “whatever it takes” attitude
  • Advanced computer literacy

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant field, CPA is preferred
  • At least 3+ year experience in Australian accounting, and bookkeeping
  • Experience using NetSuite and other similar software
  • Experience using logistics and purchase order software
  • Experience in Logistics and Supply Chain is a plus
  • Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Bookkeeper
  • Working knowledge in GST, BAS etc
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel and office management software
  • Has proactive approach to business and technology
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical Thinker - someone who can think on their feet and has an inherent systematic approach in identifying and solving problems
