The VIM Verifier is primarily responsible for the verification of payment documents in accordance with NUS Accounts Payable Policy and Procedures, for processing via the SAP OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) system.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and requests for payment to vendors, staff, students and visitors
• Liaise with CDE departments, staff, students and external parties promptly to address and resolve their queries
• Follow up with CDE department requestors on outstanding invoices which are due for payment
• Ensure compliance to controls and operating procedures
• Ensure a 3-way match between Vendor’s Invoice, Vendor’s Delivery Order or Service Report, and NUS Purchase Order (PO); or a 2-way match for non-PO purchases
• Ensure Fixed Asset (FA) numbers are present for capitalised Equipment or Software.
• Confirm suitability of coding of WBS elements, General Ledger (GL), and Goods and Services Tax (GST)
• Ensure that payment documents are in complete sets, with the necessary approvals, before submitting them to Office of Finance-Accounts Payable (OFN-AP)
• Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines such as payment due dates, project closing or year-end closing deadlines
• Other duties as assigned periodically

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accountancy, CAT, ITE Certificate in Accountancy, LCCI, or equivalent
• 2 to 4 years of accounts payable experience is preferred
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP application is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Able to work in a team and willing to learn
• Possess good communication and customer service skills
