Job PurposeWe are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to become part of the General Insurance (GI) actuarial team. You will be part of a dynamic team of actuaries and provide support to GI business.The Job\xc2\xb7 To develop and enhance in-house statistical capability using SAS software, which includes:a) Periodic data preparation for valuation and monitoring purposesb) Assist in the financial management of the general businessc) Support business units by generating required reports\xc2\xb7 Supports Reinsurance (RI) related assessment, such as optimal RI assessment, RI accounting and financial reporting.\xc2\xb7 Assists the Company in driving the GI business through profitability analysis and actuarial valuation on various business lines.\xc2\xb7 Performs business projections for business planning, stress scenario construction and stress testing.\xc2\xb7 Supports implementation of target operating model for IFRS 17, including the assessment of insurance reserves, profit and loss.\xc2\xb7 Provide technical support on other general insurance related matters, such as marketing, underwriting and claims managementQualificationsOur Requirements\xc2\xb7 Degree in Actuarial or relevant fields, and good progress in Actuarial examinations\xc2\xb7 Excellent in statistical analysis, problem solving and communication skills\xc2\xb7 Proficient in MS Excel and good knowledge of statistical packages and strong interest in programming (e.g SAS, SQL, VBA)\xc2\xb7 Familiar with general insurance, RBC2, reinsurance structures, IFRS17, AS400 system data structure, and Prophet programming will be an advantage\xc2\xb7 1 year of relevant working experience\xc2\xb7 Demonstrates alignment with the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s core values through expected behavioursAbout Great EasternEstablished in 1908, Great Eastern places customers at the heart of everything we do.
