Role Responsibilities

  • The role is at an Associate Director level in the Transaction Banking Cash Product team of CCIB based in Singapore. Innovative big data and machine learning solutions are a key priority for the Bank as part of investments in creating value-add services for clients, creating, and enabling new business models. The role resides in the product domain, roles and responsibilities include building and commercializing data views that enable our clients and internal stakeholders. We develop creative solutions for client facing pricing and billing business challenges.
  • This role reports to the Global Head of Product Pricing, Billing and Cash Data Analytics for Transaction Banking. We are building big data solutions for datasets in payments, collections and clearing business where we have millions of transactions daily.
  • The role requires close partnership with Product and Sales teams, Operations and Technology, and risk owners such as legal and compliance globally.
  • The role would be suited to a candidate having experience in data analytics, data engineering, and focussed on delivery of giving insights that help business take decisions fast.
  • Proven track record in building and deploying analytics solutions in Banking or Financial Services that have created significant value for customers and additional revenue based on new business models.
  • Numerate and strong in data analytics and modelling using statistical methods and algorithms, including regression, classification, and clustering.
Business
  • Work with Head of Data Analytics and Technology to drive data sourcing, validation and testing activities as part of the banks data asset build out initiatives.
  • Develop and implement AI/ML algorithms, statistical use cases and rapid prototypes from big data sets to drive revenue generation activities for sales.
  • Come up with AI/ ML model to segment clients based on client journey, profiles, transaction patterns, and app activities that will lead to highly personalized client insights.
  • Highly proficient in Python and experienced in using deep learning frameworks with proven track record of producing accurate and effective models using different data modalities.
  • Creating effective dashboards for business stakeholders and develop data driven insights in Pricing and Billing Portfolio.
  • Use of statistical analytics to identify optimization opportunities, improve our ability to detect, understand and address emerging trends across the portfolio and identify potential levers to maximize revenue.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis to solve various business problems arising from marketing, dynamic incentive programs, and campaign management.
  • Build and automate intuitive dashboards that help visualize and answer complex business problems.
  • Managing risks and regulatory issues associated in data analytics solutions.
  • Using data to identify enhancements of Pricing and Billing models, deliver innovations and drive data led Fee Initiatives and support the banks fee revenue growth agenda.
  • Cultivate insights across the portfolio using both internal and external data, share insights and communicate analytical research to a stakeholders and support implementation of changes.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • University Degree or equivalent, preferably in computer science, engineering or analytical discipline, e.g., mathematics, statistics, IT, economics, finance, accounting.
  • 5+ years working experience in data analytics or business intelligence units, preferably in banking, or financial industry.
  • Proficiency across the core toolsets (SQL and or Alteryx, Dataiku) for ETL and working in big data environment of Hadoop. Very strong experience in Python on Statistical and ML model building and knowledge of writing python functions to speed up work is preferable.
  • Experience of application of predictive models to derive business solution is preferred. ML models most used would be logistic regression, decision tree, clustering, neural networks, principal component analytics along with strong emphasis on statistical techniques.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau) is preferable but not a must.
  • Analytical mind with ability to translate business problems and requirements into analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of banking products and the overall industry a strong plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with ethos of excellence.
  • Ability to work independently but also in teams.
