Job Description


Role Responsibilities

  • Collect strategic data, integrate large datasets and conduct quantitative analysis to obtain business insights, developing these into workable solutions and visually intuitive results to support management decision making and drive business performance. This covers a wide range of areas including pipeline and sales performance, volume trend analysis, operations productivity, pricing and margin sensitivity as well as competitor benchmarking.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models using internal and external drivers, integrating data from multiple sources, to accurately predict revenue, cost and balance sheet performance for purposes of forecasting, corporate planning and target setting.
  • Develop complex data models to provide greater transparency of cost drivers per unit of transaction volume to enable more robust and optimal client pricing (ie. Unit cost / pricing model).
  • Engage in regular deep dives across P&L and balance sheet topics, using advanced analytical techniques and tools, to identify risks and opportunities and address strategic business challenges.
  • Act as a central point of contact for the annual stress test review, responsible for validating assumptions and challenging model outcomes.
  • Drive cost discipline across the TB sales and product organizations via initiative tracking and productivity reviews to deliver year-on-year RoTE improvements.
  • Gatekeeper of the investments process, partnering with COO function and Finance teams to effectively support business case modelling, benefits validation and tracking, budget refreshes as well as enhance transparency of investment reporting across the business.
Finance Functional Support
  • Design and maintain strategic scalable performance information management infrastructure to deliver quality MIS and Business analytics for the TB Business globally.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives to drive reports simplification, standardization, finance efficiencies and productivity.
  • Actively drive and support the finance activities relating to business realignment and restructures including change management and restatement of financial and management reporting, corporate plans, reporting structures, and financial systems as well as tracking and reporting of cost synergy achievements.
People and Talent
  • Guide, inspire and motivate the TB Finance offshore team ensuring that each individual achieves their potential and that the team delivers its collective agenda.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Performance Management: Exceptional visualization and storyboarding capabilities, with strong ability to translate complex information into impactful executive-ready presentations.
  • 10+ relevant experience in Performance Management or Financial planning and analysis or data analytics.
  • Product knowledge: Prior experience and exposure to Transaction Banking Products (i.e. Cash Management and Trade Finance Business) and Cost Management experience
  • Process knowledge: Prior experience to Corporate planning process (multi products / countries)
  • Qualification: Qualified Accountant, with degree in finance or economics; MBA / CA or other post graduate qualifications.
  • Understanding of Data visualisation tool: Intermediate understanding of reporting and data visualisation tools such as Business Objects, Power Bi and Tableau.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
