Job Description

As an Emerging Market FX Trader, you will be responsible for contributing to the growth and success of the Emerging Market FX trading franchise. You will play a vital role in market making, ensuring effective risk management, maintaining client relationships, and supporting eFX initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Market Making: Execute trades and provide liquidity for the Emerging market FX trading franchise, ensuring competitive pricing and efficient execution.

Risk Management: Monitor risk controls effectively, demonstrate the ability to mitigate risk scenarios, and maximize revenue generation through robust risk management practices.

Client Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with clients in partnership with Sales, providing excellent service in pricing and execution.

eFX Initiatives: Actively support eFX initiatives with a focus on increasing market share and revenue in Emerging Market currencies.

Revenue Generation: Explore new revenue sources internally and externally while ensuring competitive pricing in Emerging Market currency products.

Performance Tracking: Keep track of performance through quantifiable metrics (KPIs) and strive for continuous improvement.

Collaboration: Collaborate with quants/development teams to enhance systems and technical tools for trading efficiency.

Market Insights: Provide market color through commentaries and trade ideas based on solid understanding of macroeconomic and political factors affecting primary markets.

Teamwork: Cooperate effectively with other relevant teams locally and globally, promoting a culture of teamwork and effective communication within the Global FX (GFX) division.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in the related fields
• Experience working in an EM FX desk at an Investment Bank
• Demonstrated expertise in trading Emerging Market currencies with a solid track record
• Profound comprehension of macroeconomic and geopolitical factors influencing primary markets.
• Extensive familiarity with FX offshore markets and onshore dynamics within Emerging Markets.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a track record of effective communication.
