Job Description

• 7-10 years relevant work experience in investment banking, consulting, technology investing or similar fields, with technical or operating experience in the food and agriculture technology sector
• Interest and passion for the technology and the start-up ecosystem

• Our client is a renowned asset management group. Through its asset management companies , the group provides investors access to a wide range of multi-asset and multi strategies investment expertise in both active and alternative strategies, covering Asia and global.

Associate Director – Investments (Agriculture and Food Technology)

In this role, you will be working closely with the Director of Investments, and the asset management companies across Asia to execute co-investments in the Agriculture and Food Technology sector.

Responsibilities

• Work with partners to identify and execute co- investments in the Agriculture and Food Technology sector, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region
• Manage all aspects of the investment process, including evaluating potential investments, reviewing due diligence materials, transaction negotiations and structuring
• Manage, support and monitor portfolio companies through active engagement, ongoing reporting and analysis of financial performance, keeping abreast of industry and regulatory developments
• Prepare investor presentations, case studies and other marketing materials to support fundraising and investor relation efforts
• Establish and cultivate relationships with potential LPs who are interested in the agriculture and food technology sector
• Primary point of contact for investment-specific issues related to the agriculture and food technology portfolio.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree qualified with a good academic background
• 7-10 years relevant work experience in investment banking, consulting, technology investing or similar fields, with technical or operating experience in the food and agriculture technology sector
• Interest and passion for the technology and the start-up ecosystem
• Ability to work independently as part of a small team, and to manage multiple tasks and assignments
• Resourceful and has strong business acumen
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence outcomes, both orally and in writing
• Familiar with and committed to the Asia Pacific region
• Polished, driven and dynamic with strong communication skills.
