Job Description


The Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) provides a continuum of services for children with
dyslexia, their parents, mainstream teachers and other professionals in the field of dyslexia in
Singapore.

The DAS Academy is the training arm of the DAS. As a Private Education Institution, DAS Academy is
registered with the Committee for Private Education (CPE), an agency under the Skil sFuture
Singapore (SSG).

Having established a good professional standing in the field of specific learning differences (SpLD),
DAS Academy works in col aboration with the government, educational and professional bodies to
empower individuals who wish to make a difference in the lives of people with SpLD. Led by a multi-
disciplinary team that has extensive experience in providing direct support to people with SpLD, the
lecturers are able to use their skil s and expertise in the design and delivery of the programmes
offered by the DAS Academy. These programmes provide an academic pathway in the field of SpLD
from foundation to postgraduate levels.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Manager supports the Head and Deputy Director of DAS Academy in al aspects
of the administration and operations of the DAS Academy

The areas of responsibility include:

\xef\x83\x98 Marketing and Customer Service
o Assist the Head of DAS Academy in al aspects of marketing initiatives.
o Working with the Publicity and Learning Centre Division to promote DAS Academy
courses.
o Working with Outreach Team to promote DAS Academy courses and customised
training.
o Managing email databases and Whatsapp channel for marketing purposes.
o Managing the DAS Academy website to ensure information is accurate and update.
o Ensuring al enquiries from students and organisations are addressed and managed in a
professional and timely manner by the team.
o Ensuring a positive student experience from programme admission to exit

\xef\x83\x98 Regulation and Compliance
o Assisting the Deputy Director in al aspects of regulation and compliance processes.
o Managing the production of academic documentation for internal (assessment ad exam
boards) and external (Committee for Private Education or CPE) scrutiny to support
quality assurance activities and internal and external auditing.
o Providing secretariat support at academic and exam board, preparing the agenda and
documents, and taking minutes during the exams and assessment board meetings.
o Ensuring academic processes adhere to the minimum standard of Enhanced Registration
Framework such as keeping proper records and providing information requested by CPE
in a timely manner.

o Support Head and Deputy Director in al aspects financial reporting.
o Managing and maintaining al training funds/sponsorships for various programmes in
DAS Academy, for example the Skil sFuture Credit, Caregiver Training Grant, Professional
Capability Grant, Master of Arts SEN/ALN Sponsorship programme.
o Generating monthly and quarterly reports of student enrolment and revenue in an
accurate and timely manner.
o Reconcile outstanding payments and prepayments arising from Accounts Receivable
Reports.

\xef\x83\x98 Publicity and Communication
o Managing the DAS Academy website to ensure information is accurate and updated.
o Managing the communication of DAS Academy\'s annual programme calendar between
DAS Academy and the Publicity & Publications team.

\xef\x83\x98 Others
o Organising DAS Academy events such as DAS Academy Student Graduation.
o Any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Head and Deputy Director of DAS
Academy.

WORKING HOURS
Al staff work 44 hours a week and are expected to be flexible in their working days. This may include
Saturdays and Sundays.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Starting salary wil be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
After probation, successful candidates wil receive annual leave, dental and other benefits. Staff wil
be entitled to medical benefits while on probation. The DAS also awards training incentives to
deserving staff.
