Overview
The purpose of the Financial Crime Operations (FCO) team is to ensure that the systems it is tasked with surveilling are at all times being used in accordance with the legal and regulatory Anti-Money Laundering framework and to escalate issues of concern to AFC Management in a timely manner.
This includes the escalations from multiple areas such as BIU, ABAC, Advisory, and any Unusual Activity Reports.
Reporting to the Regional Execution & Projects Lead for FCO & Modelling and as part of the wider APAC AFC Team, the Data Mining and Analytics Officer will facilitate the regional team through expertise in the analysis of data.

Your key responsibilities:
Support the design, development, delivery and maintenance of the Management Information / Operational Reporting for Transaction Monitoring Models supporting the Financial Crime Operations Team.
The Data Mining and Analytics officer will work with the Financial Crime Operations and AFC Modelling teams to ensure appropriate risk-based analysis is presented in a structured and meaningful manner.
A key expectation of the delivery would be to identify patterns or trends that may be used to improve performance / productivity.
Support the planning, execution and administration of Transaction Monitoring projects, topics and issues with locations within the APAC region and functions to identify, accurately reflect and mitigate issues.
Maintain awareness of and act in accordance with team goals and firm policies
Your skills and experience:
You will have:
Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, Information Management, or Statistics
Proven experience in analytical tools (such as Python or R) for data mining and statistical analysis and database development skills such as SQL.
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in Financial Crime, Risk Assessment or Quality Assurance in Financial Services, Banking or Regulatory environment.
Experience in Business Intelligence and Data Visualizations tools such as Tableau
Working knowledge of AML Transaction Monitoring systems
Excellent verbal & written communication skills with a good people interaction skills
Demonstrated capability to interpret requirements and be a self-starter
A strong time manager, be highly organized, have planning and follow-up skills and ability to multi-task effectively
Project management/workflow management skills
Ability to work independently and meet challenging deadlines
You will be:
Proficient in AFC technology solutions.
Have strong AFC Risk acumen
Be previously exposed to AML technology particularly AML Monitoring Systems
Able to spot detail and able to apply control framework around processes and identify gaps/risks.
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement may apply
