Risk management: work with the Regional Business Risk Manager to implement and enhance (if appropriate) risk management oversight . Take a broad view of the risks within the business and ensure that material issues are escalated to the relevant functions and governance forums. Lead and coordinate risk reviews and risk assessments . Front-to-back (F2B) oversight: participate in the local F2B forum to add value to the F2B process, challenge as appropriate and ensure the quality, content and value add of F2B reporting is in line with global/ regional standard . Support the implementation of the Operational Risk Framework, including the Operational Risk Event Framework, activities relating to Control Assessments (KPCi), the oversight and closure of Operational Risk Issues (ORI) and the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) . Drive a proactive risk culture with risk management training and insights to improve awareness and escalation of risks . Support the business in strategy execution and local staff engagement activities and in the execution of local projects . Business management: act as the first line of defense and coordinate with Group and Control Functions to ensure local practices comply with group policies, law and local regulations . Build effective and collaborative cross departmental relationship to enable timely and quality deliverables and proactively help drive the business forward Your team : You'll be working in the Operating Office of UBS Asset Management Singapore. We are a team full of energy, and well-equipped with knowledge to deal with the challenge every day! You'll be part of the Asset Management COO organization in. In this role, you will work closely with Business Managers and Control Functions both at a global and regional level to ensure business, regulatory and operational risks are identified, understood and assessed, controls are designed and operating effectively, and issues are appropriately reported and are sustainably remediated. Your expertise : . 5 or more years' relevant experience in the asset management risk, operations, compliance, or similar role . Possess asset management domain knowledge in front-to-back office functions . Exposure in banking or asset management business and practices, systems, processes and controls . Understanding of global best practices in the financial industry and ability to bridge with the entire organization . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills . Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and schedule workload . Strong Project management skills . Ability to manage stakeholders and objectives with conflicting priorities across functions and businesses . Ability to partner across other functions, regions and lines of business . Fluent in English communication skills . A University degree in Business Administration, Finance or other relevant field
