Job Purpose & Mission

In this context, CHC AMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa) with 1.3Bn\xe2\x82\xac sales accounting for almost one quarter of the GBU delivery, covering diverse geographies from Japan to India, is looking for a Region Brand and Innovation Lead.

With our 6 Global Brands (Allegra, Enterogermina, Essentiale, Buscopan, Dulcolax, Mucosolvan) now reporting Globally with full e2e accountability, the scope of this role from a brand building and innovation point of view is laser focused on our Local Brands. In AMEA today, they account for 70% of our Region sales and 50% of our growth. She/He will raise the bar in all areas of brand building and consumer led innovation, in close collaboration with local market, global teams & cross-functional stakeholders and build a best-in-class holistic consumer-centered brand approach, creating true Love Brands, activating meaningful Brand Purpose, and ensuring Excellence in execution all along the delivery of this strategy, to achieve stronger competitive and market leadership advantage.

Within CHC AMEA our Brand Portfolio includes local gems such as EVE & Alesion in Japan, Lactacyd in SEA, Doliprane in Africa, Depura in India and Cenovis in South Korea & Australia with opportunities abound. Working hand in hand with the B&I Head this role will lead critical partnerships with identified brand/market combinations to drive best in class brand building and consumer led innovation development. Whilst also raising the bar on creativity and thus capability in pursuit of our Mission and cutting through the sea of sameness in our industry to win.

Key Accountabilities

Brand Portfolio Strategy & Development

  • Enable the delivery of our Region choices to grow & win.
  • Support the development of strategies for our local brands to drive above market growth while delivering sustainable competitive advantage, focused on our greatest opportunities or issues to address.
  • Raise the bar on creativity in all that we do to cut through the sea of sameness in OTC and make health simple for our consumers.
  • Focus on improving the quality of our e2e local brand execution with a specific focus on moving Sanofi to a Digital & data-first approach to brand building.
  • Ensure that consumer insights and customer needs are at the heart of the strategy.
  • Build strong, strategic partnerships with creative and media agencies upon need.
  • Build strong relationships with global consumer experience SME\xe2\x80\x99s and ensure BIC tools and frameworks are effectively deployed as needed across key AMEA brand/mkts to help build greater marketing capability and performance across the region.
Innovation
  • Identify gaps in our local innovation pipelines and support where/if needed to create truly consumer inspired winning concepts.
  • Identify and apply appropriate winning business models and go-to-market strategies including to leverage key channels such as Ecommerce
  • Identify growth opportunities, innovation and ideas that are shared with the global team for expansion beyond AMEA.
  • Partner with Snr Innovation Project Manager to ensure the e2e innovation process is optimized across key markets to facilitate speed to market.
Transversal Relationships
  • Establish close working relationships with Brand & Innovation teams in key Zones whilst also partner with key Global & Regional stakeholders, from Growth Hub, Commercial, Science Hub teams to ensure a consistent approach, in line with our global CHC strategic priorities
Ideal Background

Experience
  • Global business leader with an excellent track record (at least 10 years of marketing experience in FMCG / CHC)
  • Significant leadership experience in building high performing, culturally diverse teams
  • Extensive experience and strong track record in strategic and operational marketing including insight generation and activation
  • P&L management and accountability
  • International experience: working outside of own cultural environment; across multiple countries / geographies
  • Experience with driving organizational transformations
Qualification
  • Business or Marketing degree; an MBA is a plus
