The Global Payments team is building a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for ByteDance\'s products and services, that are growing rapidly worldwide. We serve multiple overseas businesses within ByteDance, such as Advertising, Live Broadcasting, E-commerce , Games, etc.

The Risk Control and Compliance team in Global Payments is mainly responsible for overseas transaction anti-fraud, chargebacks, credit evaluation, merchant risk rating, anti-money laundering and other business scenarios. In addition, the team ensures the platform adheres to the requirements of International Credit Card Organization, local financial supervision, and customs.

Responsibilities:
AML Transaction Monitoring Analysis and Strategy

• Partner with business lines (Live, e-commerce etc.) to understand their business models and risk exposure, detect suspicious transactions and conclude monitoring rules. Design monitoring effectiveness analysis matrix and data dashboard.
• All-round and efficient support for Risk Control operations including executing AML related works, managing and documenting all of identified Financial Crime risks and solutions based on set procedures and policies, and resolving problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience.
• Support the development of policies and procedures for transaction monitoring life cycle, including reviews of monitoring rules validation and underlying data analysis for business line;

Transaction Monitoring Product and Project Management

• Base on business line nature, design plan on models involving tuning, calibration and optimization. Perform model validation, memorializing model selection rationales and defined assumptions.
• Coordinate with other teams to implement the rules and strategies.
• Work collaboratively across functional teams within Global Payment to ensure effective and efficient operations with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
• Deals with most problems independently and have some latitude to resolve complex problems.
• Integrates in-depth specialty area operational knowledge, combined with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Applies project management skills to support operational projects as assigned.
• Applies professional judgment and attention to detail when interpreting data and results based on the analysis of factual information.
• Bachelor\'s degree / University degree, and preferably Master\'s degree or equivalent experience. Minimal 2 years of experience in strategy related positions, and preferably experience in, for example, Live streaming, video, E-commerce, Ads, Games etc.
• Strong data analytical and research skills, attention to details, excellence in executing, problem solving, self-driven and pressure handling;
• Familiarity implementing, testing or evaluating performance of monitoring systems. Have solid and comprehensive understanding of AML compliance risk exposed.
• Experience in submitting suspicious transaction cases.
• Knowledge of AML data including KYC, customer, merchant and transactional data.
• Ability to work in a team environment to organize work, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously. Global mind-set for working with different cultures and backgrounds;
• Excellent work organization ability, able to independently determine the priority of work tasks and handle multiple tasks at the same time. Have the proven capability to work and execute with minimal supervision or remote management.
