Job Description


Business FunctionGroup Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank\'s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7 IT Operational support to production support teams including weekends and holidays.
  • Ready to work in rotation shifts.
  • Incident Management and Reporting.
  • Recovery coordinator for involving the right parties and recording of chronological events.
  • Point of escalation for support staff or management.
  • Review all daily activities and ensure completion of shift duties for each team and proper handover.
  • Monitoring and recovery of batch jobs.
  • Perform health checks.
  • Alert management.
  • Coordinate DR testing and audit.
  • Consolidate and analyse management reports for presentation.
  • Implement continuous improvements through automation tools, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles.
  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved by the application team.
  • Ensure proper guidance, training and mentoring are given to new staff.
  • Lead formal and informal Post Event Problem Reviews (PEPRs) with platform support teams.
  • Ensures on-time communication to stakeholders on application issues.
  • Facilitate and manage business/operations communication during critical issues.
Requirements
  • Degree in Information Technology or other relevant field.
  • Prior experience in application support role will be an advantage.
  • Banking or Financial domain knowledge is an advantage.
  • Must have worked on Operating System: Linux / Solaris / AIX.
  • Must be conversant with SQL.
  • Knowledge of Shell scripting and Job scheduling.
  • Able to provide 24x7 operational support including Weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Clear communication skills both written and oral.
  • Self-starter with excellent crisis management skills.
