Job Description


The Global Benefits Center (GBC) is a group within the Research and Innovation Center that provides high-quality and efficient international benefits business support on both a global and local level. Work performed within the Center includes global benefits database management, reporting, and consolidation, benchmarking, contract renewal analysis, claims tracking and resolution, and benefit audit support. As an Analyst within the Global Benefits Center, you will contribute as part of a team involved in a number of activities to support our international benefits offerings including:

  • Managing global benefits data manipulation
  • Supporting the global coordination of benefits for our international clients
  • Assisting in the placement of benefits for our clients in key international markets
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have excellent data manipulation skills. Have a background in Group and Health insurance administration and brokering work. Candidates will have a primary focus on benefit coordination and placement but will have exposure and opportunities to work across all three. You will have the opportunity to:
  • Develop technical knowledge of benefits plans around the world
  • Develop data, process, and project management skills
Key Activities
  • Data gathering, manipulation, validation, analysis, and reporting
  • Support global benefits coordination and international benefits consulting
  • Review client documents, assess missing and summarize client plan data (including design, financials, exclusions, broker contracts)
  • Benchmark and draft Benefits Review Reports
  • Analyze Plan Documents, interpret and migrate to internal tool
  • Compile data for global benefits management reporting and consolidation
  • Support benefit review processes
  • Support interactions between clients and Willis Towers Watson

  • Apply practice specific techniques and provide high-quality services to internal and external Willis Towers Watson clients
  • Perform data validation and processing work using agreed-upon tools, standards, and techniques, including self-checking work and following review processes

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on teams both in the office and virtually across regions

The Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a program with heavy emphasis on research, mathematics or business
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with data validation and manipulation in data management tools (advanced Excel skills are essential)
  • Ability to review and check data against subject domain knowledge (e.g., health and group benefits) and understand the data’s applicability/accuracy for the designated purpose
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Work within tight deadlines; balance time across multiple, simultaneous projects that may involve different procedures and project team members
  • Collaboration with a global team, include taking accountability for quality and on-time delivery of own work and involving other team members when appropriate
  • Structured problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Continuous improvement mindset – increasing task efficiency and effectiveness with each product or service repetition
  • Previous benefits or insurance experience a plus
  • Proficiency in English required, proficiency in one additional language preferred
  • Group health and/or life background and experience are preferred
