Analyst / Senior Analyst - abrdn Real Estate Multi ManagerScreening of new investment opportunities
Pro-actively review and screen unlisted real estate opportunities (e.g. property funds, JVs, secondaries, co-investments, clubs, etc) to assess suitability of investment opportunities.
Maintain a robust database of APAC pipeline opportunities
Analysis and evaluation of investments
Conduct peer analysis of similar strategies / opportunities
Perform and help co-ordinate the due diligence process for new investments, including performing financial modelling, commercial due diligence, legal due diligence, tax due diligence and preparation of investment memorandums for Investment Committee approval
Financial modelling
Develop, work on and maintain the fund of funds models as well as underlying fund models.
Be able to build property and/or fund-level financial/cash flow models when necessary
Portfolio and investment management
Assist in on-going management, oversight and monitoring of investments and portfolios
Perform annual portfolio analysis and hold/sell analysis
Support in the preparation of annual investment plan for portfolios, and assist to implement the plan (e.g. capital deployment, disposals) effectively to drive performance results
Participate in Board and/or Advisory Committee meetings of underlying investments, to ensure alignment with stated strategies and good corporate governance
Reporting
Assist and co-ordinate the preparation of investment and portfolio reports for investors
Client Engagement and Meetings
Assist in the preparation of materials for investor meetings, and
Participate in client meetings and presentations to clients
Teamwork and Collaboration
To assist, support and contribute to the teamxe2x80x99s fund raising and marketing efforts
Research
Assist in the research and analysis on various property sectors in Asia Pacific, with inputs and insights from the Research and Strategy team.
Skills and experience requirement:
Minimum 2 years (for Analyst) / 5 years (for Senior Analyst) of relevant professional experience, including
At least 2 yearsxe2x80x99 direct real estate experience (asset management, acquisitions, portfolio management, research); and/or
At least 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience investing in real estate funds (primaries, secondaries, co-investments, JVs).
