Institutional Banking Group provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards.

The Strategic Advisory team in DBS renders advice to corporate clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, divestments, capital structure optimisation and restructurings. We serve clients in the digital economy as well as in the traditional industries, and we advise companies as they transform business models to address tech disruption.

DBS has an expansive network of corporate clients in Asia, therefore we advise and connect large businesses, mid-cap enterprises, financial sponsors and government-linked corporations as they pursue their strategies and growth plans.

Responsibilities

• Support senior bankers in idea generation and deal origination;
• Undertake corporate finance analysis including constructing financial models and performing valuation analysis;
• Prepare presentation materials for marketing pitches and project execution;
• Perform industry research and analyse trends;
• Provide transaction support during Singapore Takeover Offers and M&A projects, including preparing information memoranda and other transaction documents, assembling virtual data rooms, managing due diligence and coordinating project work-streams and timetables;
• Adhere to the Bank\'s policies for risk management and comply with legal and regulatory rules applicable to project execution.

Requirements

• Recognized Degree.
• Maximum of 2 years of relevant working experience in investment banking/corporate finance;
• Strong accounting, corporate finance, financial modeling and business writing skills;
• Strong time management and organization skills, resourceful with agility to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
• Team player with willingness to share knowledge and best practices;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Maturity and strong stakeholder management skills;
• Position covers the Asian markets, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, China, etc;
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
