Job Description


We are working with a leading real estate investment platform with a strong presence in the APAC region to hire an analyst/associate in the acquisitions team. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, underwriting, and executing investment strategies across a range of asset types. This role requires a strong understanding of the real estate market dynamics in the APAC region, and investment acumen to drive high-impact decisions.Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis and Research
  • Conduct in-depth research on real estate trends in APAC, including demand drivers, tenant needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and potential areas for investment within the real estate sector, with a focus on logistics and industrial as well as life sciences
  • Develop market reports and analytics to guide investment decisions.
  • Investment Sourcing and Due Diligence
  • Source and evaluate new investment opportunities in the real estate sector in targeted regions.
  • Conduct financial modeling, market analysis, and feasibility studies for potential acquisitions.
  • Perform rigorous due diligence, including analysis of property conditions, tenant needs, and legal compliance.
  • Financial Analysis and Underwriting
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investment performance, including cash flow projections, IRR, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare investment summaries and pitch decks for executive review and approval.
  • Collaborate with finance and research teams to create reliable projections and market comparisons.
  • Transaction Execution and Portfolio Management
  • Support the negotiation, structuring, and execution of transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and dispositions.
  • Collaborate with asset management teams to monitor portfolio performance, asset repositioning, and capital improvement strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual portfolio performance reviews.
  • Stakeholder and Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, partners, advisors, and other stakeholders in the real estate industry.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to strengthen presence in the APAC real estate sector.
  • Work closely with regional and global teams to align strategies and leverage market insights.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field; Master\'s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 3-8 years of experience in real estate investment, ideally in logistics and industrial
  • Demonstrated experience with real estate investment in the APAC region, ideally with prior experience in Japan and Australia
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, due diligence, and underwriting for real estate transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to senior management.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and market dynamics in the APAC real estate sectors.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a global, cross-functional team.
