What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer\xe2\x80\x99s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting efforts to bring products from research to manufacturing. You will leverage your technical capabilities to understand the inherent problems of transfer of technology from the research stage to manufacturing, in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments. You will conduct tests and measurements throughout the stages of production and troubleshoot production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.

As an associate, your focus on the job will contribute in achieving project tasks and goals. Through your domain knowledge and commitment, you will create a collaborative team environment for your colleagues.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform chemical analysis using analytical instrumentation such as but not limited to UPLC, HPLC, FTIR and GC using existing methods or with modification where required.
  • Set up test methods in the lab as per procedures.
  • Write and maintain accurate, complete and timely data in electronic laboratory notebooks as per good documentation and good laboratory practice.
  • Analyse and interpret test data.
  • Prepare high quality technical reports and summaries of experimental procedures, data and conclusions.
  • Collaborate with process scientists and organic synthesis plant (OSP) process engineers to provide direct manufacturing support during process start-ups, new product introduction, process modifications/improvement and plant investigations.
  • Work with OSP process engineers to anticipate and eliminate any process chemistry related issues through analytical support.
  • Experience in the use of empower software preferred.
  • Work with quality control to develop the necessary documentation in support of any production changes or abnormal process operations to assure that all products meet all Pfizer and regulatory quality standards.
  • Experience in new laboratory set-up and laboratory instrument qualification preferred.
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting where required.
  • Practice good housekeeping and ensure adherence to all Pfizer safety rules and procedures.
  • Purchase laboratory consumables and maintain laboratory chemical inventory.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in the laboratory activities.
  • Participate in Pfizer Global Best Practices Teams as necessary.
  • Participate in Global product development teams as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Chemistry /Analytical Chemistry
  • 0-5 years relevant experience in analytical testing
  • Fully complete Covid-19 vaccination and could provide official medical certificate
Core Competencies: All aspects of analytical support, good oral and written communication, troubleshooting of analytical methods & instrumentation, data analysis and interpretation
