Announcer (Food Caller, Chinese Kitchen)

We are looking for individuals to work as Announcer (Food Caller) at our Chinese Kitchen. Reporting directly to the Chinese Head Chef, this candidate supervises directly all subordinates to be responsible for the production, preparation and presentation of all food items, in his section in conjunction with his Chinese Head Chef to ensure highest quality at all times, and keeps wastage to an absolute minimum.

The Announcer will work in JNC Restaurant during weekdays. His main job scope is to control the dining flow, decorate and plate JNC signature dishes, make sure every dishes is hot and are 100% according to standard, inform the waiter of the right table for the food to be dispatched. He will also cover our existing days Announcer day off , rest and entitlement leaves. Looking at the current business level and since we are targeting Michelin for this year we believe is necessary to have this added position to enhance consistency, monitor quality and avoid guests waiting for long time for their dishes.

The Announcer during the weekend will work in BQT to support to handle all the weddings or corperate events in our Ballroom. Main job scope would be to support the only Wok chef on preparing the food, making sure always meet standards and is hot. Also, take care of special guest diets. Support the BQT team on following our hygiene and PWT standards and execution. At the moment we used casual labor to run these events . I believe with the support of a full time consistency and quality of the food will improve significantly and the overall level of hygiene during banquets will improve.

The candidate must be able to speak, read and write Chinese at the secondary school level, and understand simple English at the primary school level.
