Position Profile

We\'re looking for an exceptional Sales Engineering Director to lead and grow our APJ partner engineering organization. You will align closely with the Partner Sales Vice President, Partner Sales Directors, product management, and the VP of APJ Sales Engineering to help execute strategic partner development.

We need a skilled pre-sales leader with a proven track record growing a partner engineering organization in both established and earlier stage organizations. This is a highly visible, and strategic role. It requires the ability to build and expand the team in ways that will help shape the direction and impact of the partner organization at Zscaler for years to come.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop the partner sales engineering team.
  • Create, refine and scale the partner engineering processes such as champion development, practice building, service offer creation, and sales engagement.
  • Engage with partner senior technical leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Present to large scale audiences in partner conferences and other industry events.
  • Technically minded, with the capability to deliver presentations and solution overviews of our technology offerings, integrations, and overall strategic direction.
  • Drive the development of strategic partner plans, partner practice frameworks, and other strategic technical structure to highlight the impact of the team.
  • Strong cross team collaboration skills with sales, presales, alliances, SIs, product management, engineering, professional services, and support.
  • Provide input on product development or enhancements to existing products to product management function.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in partner engineering, sales engineering or systems engineering with at least 5 years managing and directing a team.
  • APJ-wide leadership experience in a technical pre-sales leadership role.
  • Excellent knowledge and prior experience selling network security technologies including but not limited to: HTTP and web related technologies, proxies, caches, firewalls, SSL/IPsec, VPN\'s, DLP, anti-virus, spam and spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS).
  • Demonstrated success working with Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Strong customer relationship and people skills as well as strong written communications and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to influence technical decision makers and executives.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
