Your main tasks

Open Mind Technologies Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a candidate to join us for an expansion. We are responsible of sales and support of hyperMILL, a leading technology in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) solutions, and a pioneer in 5-axis machining technologies. We are adding new Application Engineer due to our growth in the business for the region.
As an application engineer for the CNC machining industry, you will engage with local and regional accounts to understand what CAM technology they are currently using and to support the customers technically on hyperMILL and its application. You will have the opportunities to work closely with our machine tool partners to expand the horizon in the CNC field. On top of that, you will be also taking a leading role in one of our many state-of-the-art technologies to spearhead the enablement process to our regional resellers and partners. You will also have the opportunity to learn the skillset in pre-sales to assist sales of our solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a relationship with our machine tool/cutting tool partners to ensure the successful and broad adoption of our technology solutions and service offerings
• Perform day to day technical support to our customers/resellers in order for them to be successful in implementing hyperMILL
• Customer/reseller training
• On-site test cutting and postprocessor by-offs
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer technical issues and concerns
• Document and update customer support records based on interactions in CRM System
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services

Your profile

Minimum Qualifications:

• A diploma from an accredited polytechnic or university and/or 3 years CAD/CAM experience
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Positive and professional demeanour
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Desire to participate in professional development and take on new responsibilities
• Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Software and/or ideally CNC machining industry background
• Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Dynamics CRM software, Outlook, MS Word, Excel
• Highly skilled at multi-tasking with the ability to quickly adapt and learn
