Adecco is partnering with a global leader in sensor technology, vacuum instrumentation, and gas analysis solutions to seek an Application Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in providing technical support and expertise to customers across various industries, including semiconductor manufacturing, thin film coating, and vacuum processing. This position demands a blend of technical proficiency, customer interaction, and problem-solving skills to drive customer satisfaction and contribute to overall business growth.The company specializes in key sectors such as Semiconductors, Coating Technologies, Research & Development, and Industrial Manufacturing.The Application Engineer is the key interface between our company and clients, reflecting our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent client relationships, addressing and escalating any issues encountered, and ensuring successful deployment of our applications to help clients achieve their goals. This role involves collaborating with a wide range of client stakeholders, the consulting team, and the software development team to deliver efficient solutions.Key responsibilities include providing technical support for semiconductor sensors and software, conducting installations and training, troubleshooting hardware performance issues, and participating in customer meetings and escalations. You will establish a regular presence in major semiconductor fabs, network with key contacts to identify critical business issues, and work closely with the sales team to develop strategies and value propositions. Additionally, you will create recipes and analyze sensor data for fault detection and classification (FDC), and perform design of experiments (DOE) to present findings based on return on investment (ROI) for customers.Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide technical application support for semiconductor sensors and software.
• Conduct installations, training, and sensor maintenance on and off customer sites.
• Troubleshoot hardware performance issues and monitor equipment health through audits.
• Participate in customer meetings, escalations, and new opportunity discussions.
• Establish a frequent presence in semiconductor fabs and build rapport with key contacts.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer technical requirements and develop value propositions.
• Interface with product and account management to communicate technical needs for solution development.
• Collaborate with counterparts in other offices to leverage new opportunities.
• Create and analyze sensor data for fault detection and classification (FDC).
• Conduct data collection, analysis, and design of experiments (DOE) based on ROI for customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related sciences) or a diploma in a relevant engineering field with work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for managing customer relationships.
• Ability to adapt to various field situations and foster strong internal and external relationships.
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to solve complex problems.
• Solid organizational and computer skills.
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and process control systems (FDC and APC) is desirable.
• Ability to handle stress and work at a high pace.
• Willingness to travel internationally (10%).
