The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) seeks to transform the delivery of Government Digital Services by taking an "outside-in" view, putting citizens and businesses at the heart of everything we do. We also develop the Smart Nation infrastructure and applications and to facilitate collaboration with the public to co-develop technologies.

We are looking for individuals to join us an Application Infrastructure Engineer - a subject matter expert for on-premise and Cloud infrastructure. Demonstrate your strong domain knowledge by being technically hands-on, participating in new innovative initiatives and improvements, to meet the needs of forward-looking Public Service agencies.

You will be responsible for the different stages of an application infrastructure service from the implementation to operation and maintenance to ensure that it meets application requirements and business needs, and is aligned to Government\xe2\x80\x99s policies, standards and procedures.

What You Will Be Working On:

Deliver and manage the infrastructure services that supports the application systems that are hosted either on-premise or on cloud.

• Support in the development/maintenance of application infrastructure reference architecture and management practices.
• Provide technical consultancy to translate application requirements into application infrastructure architecture, compute resource and hosting requirements.
• Point-of-Contact of infrastructure team for new application system initiatives and to support in system integration, security, and performance testing.
• Provide domain expertise around application infrastructure components and cloud e.g. virtualisation, operating system, storage, backup, connectivity, security, cloud services.
• Management of day-to-day IT infrastructure operations, capacity planning, monitoring of events, performance and health metrics, ICT security governance to ensure ICT operations are efficient and effective, with alignment to ITIL principles
• Collaborate with partners such as business analysts, solution architects and digital services managers to deliver a secure, stable, and sustainable IT Operations.
• Work with service providers to ensure their service deliveries, processes and documentations meet significant metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLA).

What We Are Looking For:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related qualifications.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Intermediate-level certification in at least one cloud platform (either in Architecture, DevOps or System Administration/Sysops track)
• Certification in operating system, virtualization, database, network or security.
• Certification in ITIL is preferred.
• Excellent technical engagement and consultancy skills.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders.

• Motivated, proactive and dedicated individual with good multitasking capabilities who thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

• Scripting languages: Powershell, Shell
• Operating systems: Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Web platforms: IIS, Apache
• Database: MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB
• Continuous Integration/Delivery solutions: Gitlab CI, Jenkin, Bamboo
• Cloud hosting: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure
• Configuration languages: Terraform
