About Team

J.P. Morgan Payment Technology is looking for an outstanding L2 Application Support Engineer with experience working in a fast paced, high pressured environment to join our Global Technology Team.

In this role, you'll oversee application issues, including troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating and resolving. You'll ensure that the production changes your team makes are made keeping best practices, lifecycle methodology and overall risk top of mind. Partnering with Global Technology Support team members, you'll dig into root cause analysis, production changes etc. Experience and Skills required:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years working in Production Management preferably in Banking domain
  • Expertise in L2 application support and development environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming (SQL, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Proficiency with a variety of platforms, including Unix, Linux
  • Understanding of Database like Oracle and Cassandra
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace etc. will be added advantage
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Experience in handling critical application outages in an large scale operations & driving root cause analysis and remediation
  • Automation and Efficiency: Understand manual process currently carried out and implement scripts or leverage tools/technologies to automate and create efficiency
  • Clear analytical thinking and excellent communication skills
  • Providing front line support to our business users, build strong relationships with users and stakeholders
