Provide support to school teachers for ALP lessons and school programmes. Duties will generally include: -
1. ALP Lessons:
\xc2\xb7 Support the ALP lessons on relevant hardware including but not limited to Microbit, M5Go, ArtificiaI Intelligence according to given schedule and school\xe2\x80\x99s needs
\xc2\xb7 Provide advice to students on the technical feasibility of their projects, and provide suggestions for improvement
\xc2\xb7 Design and conduct ALP lessons in the technical aspects with the support of teachers
2. ALP Talent Development:
\xc2\xb7 Support talented students in ALP and coding through school-based programmes during curriculum time and after-school time
\xc2\xb7 Support students with the ideation and development of products at school\xe2\x80\x99s makerspace during curriculum time and after-school
3. Hardware-support for ALP lessons and activities
\xc2\xb7 Prepare all necessary facilities and equipment before start of ALP lessons and activities,
\xc2\xb7 Return all equipment to designated places at the end of ALP lessons and activities
\xc2\xb7 Ensuring that all facilities are operational during ALP lessons and activities, by working together with ICT Manager/Associate and Desktop Engineers (DE)
\xc2\xb7 Assisting teachers and students when they encounter difficulties in using the computers, Personal Learning Devices (PLDs) or other equipment during their ALP lessons and activities.
4. Staff Professional Development:
\xc2\xb7 Conduct STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) training for staff according to given schedule
5. School-related Administration:
\xc2\xb7 Update the school ALP-related websites, official school website and school broadcast system
\xc2\xb7 Learn new programming software or technologies e.g. IOT, AI when exploring new STEM coding programme or activities with the school
\xc2\xb7 Work with the Technical Staff Officers (TSOs) to keep track of, and organise the ALP inventory in the school\xe2\x80\x99s makerspace for efficient conduct of lessons and activities
6. Perform any other ALP and school-related tasks as assigned by School Leader/Key Personnel
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
1. Able to read, write and speak in English.
2. Have good communication and inter-personal skills.
3. Is a good team player and responsible in carrying out tasks in school when duties are assigned
4. Preferably with at least 3 years working experience in a Secondary school environment, and with students.
5. Experienced in designing and delivering lessons to secondary school students.
6. Possess intermediate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills in the following:
\xc2\xb7 Personal Computers (PCs) troubleshooting
\xc2\xb7 Microsoft Office (MS) Office software
\xc2\xb7 Google Suites applications
\xc2\xb7 Adobe Photoshop and
\xc2\xb7 school webpage builder platform (i.e., Isomer).
7. Possess intermediate STEM or coding language such as Micro:bit, M5Go
8. Possess intermediate knowledge in the following:
\xc2\xb7 Computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D printing softwares eg Sketchup, OnShape, TinkerCad (CAD) and Cura, Flashprint (3DP).
\xc2\xb7 Operation of 3D Printer
\xc2\xb7 soldering to construct electrical circuits using electronic components.
9. Be flexible with working hours depending on school needs.
Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2024 to 31 Dec 2024 (option to extend another year)

Working Hours:
\xc2\xb7 Mondays to Thursdays : 7:30am to 4.30pm, inclusive of \xc2\xbd hr lunch break
\xc2\xb7 Fridays: 7:30am to 4.00pm, inclusive of \xc2\xbd hr lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays unless there are school events that require the personnel\xe2\x80\x99s services.
