Job Description


The Apps Sup Tech Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • The Apps Support Tech Lead Analyst is responsible to partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems; and recommend and implements solutions.
  • Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of apps support
  • Responsible for handling day to day BAU support for the Singapore Global Commodities business and associated downstream teams. Exposure to systems like OpenLink Endur (ETRM), Simpliciti (Risk/PV) ,E-trading platform and much more
  • Ensure near 100% availability of applications and associated infrastructure, as well as defining dedicated stability measures to design, test, and accomplish a material reduction in outages
  • Provide business support for mission critical trading system used by trading desks and operations
  • Support all aspects of Commodities trade life cycle flows including Pricing, ECN connectivity, trade booking & executions, Risk Management , middle office and back office and regulatory reporting flows
  • Expected to be able to raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while
  • adhering to Service Level Agreements
  • Build and maintain technical support documentation
  • Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
  • Perform post release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates
  • Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives
  • Cooperation with Development colleagues to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Sound knowledge on Business / understanding of financial markets and products
  • Experience with Messaging Technologies (TIBCO EMS / SOLACE a plus )
  • Experience with real-time monitoring systems such as ITRS Netagent, APP Dynamics or
Splunk
  • Job scheduling tool such as Autosys
  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools such as Service Now, JIRA
  • Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools.
  • Good all-round PC skills. (I.e. Windows OS / Networks / General Hardware)
Knowledge/Experience (Essential):
  • Prior experience with e-trading support/Front Office Support
  • Working knowledge of Oracle SQL. (Able to build ad hoc SQL queries)
  • Prior experience with Solaris/Linux a plus with ability to navigate the system and core
administration functions. (Able to navigate the system and write shell scripting)
  • Working knowledge of Python Scripting
  • Demonstrable track record of hands-on application support experience in a global markets

  • Exposure to Cloud technologies and DevOps (CI/CD) tools and techniques
  • Working knowledge of Openlink product
  • Prior E-trading Experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems/components
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
  • IT (spreadsheet/analytical/modeling skills)
  • Positive attitude and keen to learn
  • Ability to work under stress and time constraints

Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years experience

  • Experience working or leading requirement gathering efforts for multiple large development projects at one-time
  • Proficient using basic technical tools and systems
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
Education:
  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
