OVERVIEW

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical-minded AR Accountant to join the Singapore Finance & Accounting team. The position reports to the Assistant Finance Manager.

This role is focused on Franchise Billing and Accounts Receivable, which entails daily validation, analysis and reconciliation of billing data, prompt follow up and monitoring of franchisees\' open invoices for payment collection per contractual terms and monthly close processes. The role requires strong ability to handle large volume of transaction data with advanced Excel and ERP skills gained through prior experiences in US or multinational companies and will strive in a multi-team collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily billing data validation activity and generation of system invoicing and account statements.
  • Follow up on billing discrepancies, research, reconcile and close out open items. Manage billing inquiries from franchisees including follow up of issues with stakeholders.
  • Proactive follow up with franchisees of all open invoices for payment to ensure compliance with payment terms, promptly resolve &/or escalate to management of delinquent receivables.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and perform month-end close activities.
  • Prepare AR reports and assist in revenue and AR flux analysis.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement and collaborate with stakeholders to drive billing efficiency.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits and tax & other ad-hoc assignments & projects as and when required.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES
  • Diploma in accounting or higher qualification.
  • Minimum 4 years AR/Billing or related experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience in enterprise accounting systems. NetSuite and Oracle experience a strong plus.
  • Detail-oriented, able to proactively identify and problem solve issues, organized and work under limited supervision.
  • Concise and professional communication.
  • Team- and performance-oriented player.
