Architectural Designer
Job Description
Responsible for the design of buildings or urban landscapes. Sometimes referred to as building designers, they usually work under the supervision of licensed architects. Additionally, their work involves corresponding with clients in order to gather important information involving the construction project's design requirements and budget.Some common duties and responsibilities of an architectural designer include:
Making the required calculations for the layout, including taking measurements and dimensions
Giving clients design recommendations
Collaborating with clients and management to create and modify a project's design
Creating architectural plans using CAD software and manual drawing
Keeping up to date with the latest trends in design
Making sure that the project's blueprints and layouts comply with industry codes and legal standards
