Art And Design Technology Technician
Job Description
The role of the Art & Design Technician is a key within the Expressive Arts department and the wider community. Working as part of a team, the technician will ensure that all students have the best possible experience in Visual Art and Design Technology, providing robust support for teaching and learning and curriculum delivery.
This role exists to support the smooth running of the Art and Design Technology classrooms, prep rooms and stores to support teaching and learning in the classroom. The technician role o\xef\xac\x80ers challenge and requires initiative alongside responsibility. The DCIS Art and Design Technician will be responsible for four specialist teaching spaces in the secondary school. This will involve preparing resources, equipment, and teaching materials for lessons, clearing up after lessons, managing and maintaining good order in the prep rooms, overseeing equipment, and maintaining stock levels of consumable materials. There is also a requirement to support school events relating to the faculty, including art exhibitions, and performing arts productions and concerts
