Support day-to-day production operations for Retail Banking & Cards systems, including Core Banking, ATM Cards, 3DS Authentication, FAST, and electronic banking platforms running on AS400.
Respond to and resolve production incidents, coordinating with internal teams and business stakeholders on a 24-hour rotational roster.
Develop and maintain programs using RPG, COBOL, and CL (Control Language) on the AS400 platform.
Support and enhance automation efforts, including scripting tasks related to system monitoring, job scheduling, and DR procedures.
Collaborate with the Technical Lead and cross-functional teams to deliver small-scale enhancements, bug fixes, and system improvements.
Analyze recurring production issues, identify root causes, and propose automation or scripting solutions to reduce manual efforts.
Document technical solutions and standard operating procedures for knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
Participate in Problem and Change Management processes, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
Assist in continuous improvement efforts by analyzing trends in incident volumes and recommending improvements in operational efficiency.
Understand application workflows and operational dependencies to support both legacy and evolving banking systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with AS400, RPG, COBOL, and CL scripting.
Experience in production support or application maintenance for retail banking systems, particularly with Silverlake Core Banking or similar platforms, is highly preferred.
Familiarity with scripting and automation tasks in AS400 environments; exposure to Linux or Shell scripting is a plus.
Basic understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management); ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and business users.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.
