The Team : This is a leadership role with global and regional responsibilities in the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading price reporting organization, which has a rapidly expanding presence in the Asia-Pacific commodity markets. Customers in more than 150 countries look to our expertise in news, pricing, and analytics to deliver greater transparency and efficiency to commodities markets. The Market Development & Engagement Group functions as a cross departmental partner within the Market Reporting & Trading Solutions business line, collaborating across nine commodity sectors on pricing issue resolution, market reporting best practice, methodology development and external market engagement.

The Market Integrity & Review team protects the integrity of the Platts price assessment process across various commodity markets globally. The MIR team specifically focuses on various forms of market/pricing issue resolution, various market review processes to ensure that market participants engage with our pricing guidelines and processes appropriately. This role serves as a key content leader in the region, overseeing acceptance and event-driven reviews, and monitoring trade performance in the APAC region, which accounts for a significant portion of the Platts Market on Close trade activity globally. The APAC region also accounts for the majority of EBMR benchmarks and several IOSCO benchmarks, and this role is key to providing methodological oversight for these pricing benchmarks. The role is also key to leading and implementing market reporting best practices, such MOC publishing principles, anomalous data as well as other pricing principles across all the commodity pricing teams.

The Impact : The role is critical to ensuring robust pricing guidelines and processes across our commodity lines, particularly that the Market on Close assessment process and eWindow environments operate with the utmost integrity. As a part of this, the role must interact with senior managers internally, as well as with market participants externally. The role is pivotal for ensuring that Commodity Insights pricing business continues to have a strong reputation and operates as a best-in class Price Reporting Agency \xe2\x80\x93 providing world-class pricing information and data globally across nine commodity markets.

This includes:
Supports regional and global pricing teams, market methodology & development specialists and Market Integrity & Review team members in strategic initiatives and day-to-day initiatives
Reviews and approves global team MOC participation and event-driven reviews
Partners with regional pricing leadership and managers to drive global price assessment methodology development and ensure price assessment integrity throughout the process.
Represents MIR in cross-functional projects and working groups, and collaborates with other colleagues in MD&E and other groups internally resulting in the consistent execution of Platts methodology and the maintenance of robust price assessments.
Engages actively with external market participants to ensure adherence to Platts publishing and editorial standards in our Market on Close assessment process
Collaborates with partners in the Strategic Engagement & Intelligence Group, global trading services and commercial in the APAC region
Conducts training for internal and external stakeholders on Platts methodology and the Market on Close assessment process
Reports on pricing-related issues and opportunities within the region to senior management
Mentors price reporting management teams and front-line editorial team members on such aspects as external messaging and dealing with performance issues
Ensures adherence to Platts editorial guidelines and IOSCO principles and supports compliance initiatives within the APAC region

Responsibilities:
Leads dispute resolution on performance-related issues related to the Market on Close assessment process
Drives strategic regional pricing and methodology initiatives
Collaborates with stakeholders in market reporting leadership, SEIG as well as the Asia content team to execute on priorities
Promotes best practices and adherence of editorial standards with other functional groups such as BCQ, News, Learning and Development, and other relevant stakeholders
Ensures MOC-related queries answered in a timely manner and escalates to senior management when appropriate
Supports Price Group methodology sector partners on APAC regional projects
Support maintenance and socialization of Best Practices for MOC markets
Supports hiring practices in the region through serving on interview panels
Coordinates regional support from Market Integrity & Review and Price Group for the MOC process
Serves as an approver for acceptance and event-driven reviews for the Market on Close assessment process
Conducts Acceptance Reviews, Event-Driven Reviews, which includes the handling of critical & confidential data from market participants
Proactively leads performance tracking on trades reported in the MOC process
Monitors and reports on regional MOC liquidity in APAC and escalates to appropriate stakeholders, including identifying strategic market opportunities and threats
Champions adherence to compliance in the region for MRTS
Supports relevant workflow tools as business owner, including the MOC Review application in Appian and the Market Issue Tracker

Qualifications:
Proven strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to influence across the organization
Tenacity and the ability to gain buy-in to decisions and drive issues to completion
Subject matter expert in commodities/trading/markets and the competitive landscape and specialized knowledge of at least one commodity sector and/or Platts pricing methodology.
Degree educated (business, finance, economics, etc..) with 8+ years in pricing with a broad knowledge of assessment methods and processes
Strong communication and presentation skills both for internal training and dealing with external market participants
Strong leadership ability which utilizes influence and promotes team collaboration and development as well as personal accountability
Assertive and independent minded individual who operates with facts and pushes back with respect
