Work you\'ll do

Deloitte Asia Pacific brings together our geographies in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, South Asia, Southeast Asia, New Zealand and Taiwan with more than 4,000 partners and 90,000 professionals. The formation of the Deloitte Asia Pacific Member Firm enhances our ability to provide a more seamless client experience across geographical boundaries, while at the same time offering you unique and unrivalled career experiences and opportunities.

This newly created role will support the Asia Pacific Brand, Marketing and Communications function on Asia Pacific executive media and regional media coordination. The person with this responsibility will play a unique role to support our AP Executives, including the AP CEO, on their regional media activities. You will also work closely with other AP leaders and SMEs on media work related to thought leadership launches, brand events, etc. with the goal of communicating Deloitte offerings, eminence, strategies, priorities and culture externally, to elevate the Deloitte brand.

Location: Flexible within Asia

Key Stakeholder Relationships:

  • AP Executive Team, including the AP CEO
  • Various AP SMEs
  • AP and Global Brand, Marketing and Communications Teams
  • AP Participating Firm Brand, Marketing and Communications Professionals
Major Responsibilities:
  • Strategic advisor to the AP Executive Team and relevant SMEs on media strategy and approach to build eminence for the Deloitte brand
  • Strategise and drive AP Executive Team external media profiling, with a focus on media at signature events i.e. WEF, Boao Forum for Asia, APEC CEO forum, etc., and engagements that build brand eminence for our signature issues.
  • Create, maintain and manage media communications plan and calendar that are aligned with our local PF communication efforts.
  • Work closely with our AP Campaigns Manager, AP Internal Communications Manager and the wider AP Communications Enabling Team to ensure coordination of messages across all channels and campaigns
  • Provide media support and counsel to AP signature issue marketing campaigns
  • Participate in regional communication working groups
  • Provide feedback on efficacy and reach of communications, contribute to regular communications reporting
  • Support the management of major AP events - virtual/hybrid and in-person - where necessary
  • Work with external vendors/agencies to support execution of communications objectives where necessary
  • Work with AP Design and Video Managers on design and conception of communications collateral

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Years of Experience: 10 years social media and PR experience ideal
  • Professional writing skills
  • Excellent media/PR experience and an established network of media contacts in the Asia Pacific region is a key requirement for this role
  • Adept at navigating the nuances needed for communications content that is delivered to distinctly different audiences across different sectors, businesses, geographies and cultures
  • Awareness of the geopolitics of the region and other sensitivities involved in working for a global organisation across multiple geographies and businesses
  • An awareness of trends and capability to utilize them in content development
  • Ability to convey complex messages with brevity and impact
  • Ability to work with designated internal experts to co-create communication content
  • Ability to utilize/integrate visuals, graphics, and data into content preparation
  • Previous working experience in a matrix work environment / partnership advantageous
  • Previous virtual and in-person events management experience advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other communications teams across the region and globally to ensure alignment of messages
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with leaders throughout the organization
  • Strong project management experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, highly focused executive office environment.
  • Mature and professional approach to work
