Singapore or Hong Kong.

The role


  • Work alongside the Regional Director to explore regional opportunities for private equity, special situations bankers and funds, private debt, special situations transactions, turnaround investors across the region (collectively called \'Special Situations\' for ease herein).
  • Build relationships with the Special Situations market participants. Identify what services firms such as KPMG could provide and design a bespoke offering.
  • Assist with the identification and pitching on cross boarder opportunities.
  • Create linkages between Special Situations clients and Restructuring Partners at member firms.
  • Link the needs of Special Situations clients with services offered by risk consulting, management consulting and other DA propositions.
  • Ideally, the role will be based in Hong Kong or Singapore, from where the ASPAC focused funds typically are based.
  • Some travel (and possible international working) will be required and should be ready to work in dynamic, flexible and fast-moving environment

Relationships


  • Meet and connect with Special Situation clients with a view to promote KPMG services associated with restructuring, as well as wider firm propositions.
  • Understand the needs of these businesses and at the appropriate time introduce member firms to potential opportunities.
  • Identify and understand what services our competitors are providing to these clients and quantify any potential market for any new offerings.
  • Build relationships with similar teams (e.g. ASPAC PE) to ensure alignment with Client Service Teams (CSTs) and any external messaging.

Special Situations Channel Offerings


  • Assess what Restructuring services are currently being provided by ASPAC member firms to this client group.
  • Perform a review of the competitor landscape with reference to inputs from the market. Identify strengths / weaknesses for KPMG Restructuring and KPMG as a whole, where appropriate.
  • Perform a GAP analysis to identify potential new service offerings which could be provided by ASPAC Restructuring.
  • Work with the ASPAC Restructuring Director to create a business case for investment into any new service offering and present this to the ASPAC Restructuring leadership for consideration.

Brand and Sales Enablement


  • Create client specific marketing materials that promote the core KPMG Restructuring identify and brand.
  • Own the communication of restructuring marketing tools (such as \'heatmap\') to the target audience on a regular basis and provide feedback to the ASPAC Restructuring Director for improvements to such tools specific to this target market.
  • Assist member firms engage with Special Situation clients to improve domestic p-win for other engagements.
  • Own and regularly update a repository of sector specific information (template, contact lists, specific tools) on Source.
  • Present Special Situations engagement pipelines at ASPAC Restructuring Partner meetings.
