JOB DESCRIPTION: Assistant Controller- AgServices and Oilseeds APAC
REPORTING TO: APAC Regional Controller - AgServices and Oilseeds (AS&O)PURPOSE OF JOB
Lead all business partnering, accounting, management, and statutory reporting requirements as well as financial management responsibilities for entities across multiple business groups (\xe2\x80\x9cBG\xe2\x80\x9d) in the Asia Pacific (\xe2\x80\x9cAPAC\xe2\x80\x9d) region.Support company\'s operations and Controlling function, in addition to having responsibilities for managing a team of highly technical and skilled colleagues.Develop and maintain good working relationships with business partners and deliver necessary technical and project-related support across the organization. Controllers must stay up-to-date on new regulations and/or standards that impact ADM, create and implement changes to comply with such regulations and/or standards, and be considered an experts in their field.Work closely with the AS&O Operations Controller to drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, align key priorities for the global team, and play a significant role in the successful execution of those priorities.SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive functional excellence through continuous improvement, collaboration of thought, innovative ideas, and proactive behavior in the areas of financial accounting, standardizing and simplifying processes, and internal controls working closely with others in the Controlling organization, Technical Accounting, Governance, Tax, and other key stakeholders.
• Serve as a central point of contact for driving process standardization across the AS&O controlling group
• Standardize and maintain processes for execution of strategic activities, including SOX compliance, balance sheets, financial reporting (in collaboration with ERA), inventory, policy adherence, etc.
• Collaborate with BU Controller to Identify and mitigate risks related to global AS&O financial results.
• Collaborate with other leaders to identify and implement best practices across the global team.
• Participate in 1ADM-related activities impacting AS&O and MTM.
• Oversee monthly closing, and financial reporting activities (internal and external, where applicable), working closely with the Global Business Solution (GBS) team.
• Oversee global consolidation of financial results for AS&O, disclosure requirements, SOX controls, and other reporting for customers as requested.
• Continuous development of team members, ensuring agility to keep up with business needs/changes
• Design, draft, and implement local policies and procedures, where applicable
• Be a lead financial partner in mergers and acquisitions, the setting up of new legal entities, etc. across the region
• Other ad-hoc activities, as required

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting or related professional qualifications
• CPA or CA equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 10 years of accounting & finance-related role
• Prior supervisory experience
• Prior experience in managing multiple projects at one time and strong data analytics
• Visualization and communication skills (to a wide range of audiences, both technical and non-technical) are required
• A strong functional understanding of ADM\'s operating structure desired
• Experience with Power BI and large ERP systems (e.g. JDE, SAP, etc) a plus
• Proficient in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced trading and/or US MNC environment is preferred.
