Assistant Cost Manager (QS)

What this job involves:

\xc2\xb7 Assist in Tender pricing and cost estimations, souring of quotations, cost evaluation and prepare cost comparison

\xc2\xb7 Evaluate Contract/Sub-contract works and carry out other Contracts Administration with clients and vendors

\xc2\xb7 Maintaining positive supplier relations

\xc2\xb7 Procuring for projects via an online platform

\xc2\xb7 Assist in all activities of the procurement and admin department.

\xc2\xb7 Managing procurement process via JLL\'s own cloud-based platform for all procurement

\xc2\xb7 On-board and pre-qualify vendors to JLL standards

\xc2\xb7 Preparation of client invoices and processing of vendor invoices

\xc2\xb7 Maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures

\xc2\xb7 Preparation of tender documents including review and understanding the tender documents, specifications and drawings for taking off quantities

\xc2\xb7 Compilation of Bill of Quantity, tender documents / amendments and submission of tender bids etc

\xc2\xb7 Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors

\xc2\xb7 Confer with engineers, architects, designers, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates

\xc2\xb7 To compare and negotiate price and with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors

\xc2\xb7 To prepare and issue of PO and verify supplier invoice for payment

\xc2\xb7 Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.

\xc2\xb7 Thrive under pressure and deal effectively with tight deadlines and high expectations

\xc2\xb7 Any other duties as assigned

To apply you need to be:

We employ talent from a wide range of backgrounds, though typically you should have:

\xc2\xb7 A degree or diploma in a relevant field, and/or around three to five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a cost manager or in a similar position.

\xc2\xb7 Relevant experience in a design and build firm or a contractor firm will be advantageous

\xc2\xb7 Exposure to commercial interior fit-out projects, especially office interior fit-out is critical

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technologically savvy

\xc2\xb7 Strong communication and negotiation skills

\xc2\xb7 Good analytical and strategic thinking skills

\xc2\xb7 Attention to detail

\xc2\xb7 You should have a great sense of urgency when it comes to solving problems, improving products or services, finding new markets, and implementing new strategies

\xc2\xb7 A great communicator with superb organisational skills

\xc2\xb7 A structured and organised approach with an eye for detail is also crucial, as is being tech-savvy.
