. ROLE
The App. Development Manager will plan, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to detailed design, development, and implementation of software/application in Eastspring.
This is a hands-on role on coding/development.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Analyze and determine if existing codes, parameters, and functions can be effectively integrated as shared objects with the development of enterprise business components.
• Ensuring the development practice is in compliance with enterprise SDLC policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Responsible for conducting regular reviews through efficient process to meet timeline and quality of deliverables.
• Manage the quality of the system development process.
• Monitor and control project/BAU risks to develop scenarios for variances and risk management plan.
• Work closely with other Change Management Team (Quality Assurance, Cloud & Infra Engineering, DevSecOps and Information Security Team) to adopt & embed capabilities in SDLC process.
• Perform full stack development comprising GUI, process layer coding, database design & SQL scripting, reporting and client scripting.
• Responsible for identifying and resolving program errors, providing technical assistance to project managers and programmers, analyze existing applications and recommend improvements for these systems.
• Execute the platform technology roadmap by working collaboratively with other IT domains, business product owners, stakeholders, Prudential Group partners and external technology partners
• Identify opportunities to exploit and enhance data integration capabilities and explore leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) landscape.
• Work with Eastspring Local Business Units (BU) to provide platform services across Eastspring region to simplify and standardize the data platform capabilities.
• Participate in internal and external audits, work with auditors to explain the process & providing requested artefacts in the relevant domain.
• Provide people and technology leadership to Platform Engineering team.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Recognized degree or higher in Computer Science or related Engineering fields.
• 6-8 years of hands-on programming experience in .NET/Java/other languages.
• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in design, build and SQL scripting in Oracle/SQL server/another database.
• Experience in Git bash/Bitbucket and batch scheduling tools.
• Experience in data integration through custom development or using integration tools.
• 3-5 years in Python based development.
• 3-5 of demonstrated experience in designing and building high performance / resilient data platform using Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Warehouse, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, etc).
• In-depth knowledge and experience in designing and implementing cloud(s) solutions, preferably Azure (including use of DevOps practices, containerization / k8s, API, microservices, log management)
• Experience in integrating SaaS solutions, and deployment & management of COTS products.
• Experience in implementation of security framework in application (DevSecOps and standalone security features).
• Good understanding of asset and/or wealth management businesses, including trade lifecycle and operational processes.
• Relevant certifications are encouraged and demonstrate continuous learning of technologies essential for this role.
• Experience in waterfall and agile methodologies.
