Job Description



The School is entering its next phase of development now that it has an established world-class MBBS programme with a nascent post-graduate programme and fast-growing research initiatives. Strong ambitions are in place, and plans are afoot leading up the conclusion of the Imperial College-NTU Singapore collaboration agreement in 2028 to set up LKCMedicine, and to take the School to the next level, we are looking to hire an Assistant Director for Branding and Marketing Communications. S/he will work closely with LKCMedicine\xe2\x80\x99s Communications Director to study and strategise the School\xe2\x80\x99s brand positioning for promotion and marketing to the School\xe2\x80\x99s stakeholders, including partners, faculty, staff and students as well as the public and potential collaborators. Current branding and marketing material are to be reviewed and redesigned to effectively communicate the School\xe2\x80\x99s new direction and ambitions. Through these new and fresh material, the School\xe2\x80\x99s journey, achievements and undertakings are showcased, our reputation enhanced, while ensuring our stakeholders are kept informed and updated on the School\xe2\x80\x99s progress so as to foster brand belief and loyalty.

The candidate will be tasked on the following:


  • Work with Communications Director in overseeing the re-branding exercise of the School ahead of the conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership in 2028, including collecting, auditing and reviewing all public-facing/marketing or promotional materials.

  • Review current materials and propose changes strategically (in presentation, narrative, art direction), and work with vendors and Communications team on the changes. Be accountable for the final outcome or presentation of the new marketing materials.

  • Identify and review the School\xe2\x80\x99s unique selling points to appeal to prospective students and hires, and be accountable to the effectiveness of the new messaging.

  • Review and develop an attractive and strong narrative of the School to communicate external stakeholders, and work with various stakeholders to look at the effectiveness of the new narrative for the School.

  • Review and refresh current marketing materials and the School information such as new identity system, logo and narrative to finalising them, while overseeing and planning for future changes leading up to 2028.

  • Create new content for promotion across all platforms including traditional and new media, event needs, as well as publications for internal and external audiences.


Requirements:

  • Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas

  • Analytical skills and attention to detail

  • An understanding of trends for marketing and promotion particularly in the academic, medical and healthcare industries

  • At least 8 years of experience in branding and marketing communications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Prior experience in all areas of communications for publicity content management

  • Knowledge of HTML coding, Sharepoint, Photoshop, Illustrator software will be a plus

  • Degree in English, Journalism, Communication Studies


This is a 3 years contract appointment.
