What the role is:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director to lead our strategic communications efforts and enhance our brand and thought leadership in the philanthropic ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans, managing media relations, and producing key corporate communications assets. The role requires a strong understanding of the media landscape and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.What you will be working on:The candidate is responsible for spearheading and providing guidance on strategic communications strategies that will include media and crisis communications, speech writing, website and social media content development, as well as stakeholder engagement in the non-profit ecosystem. The candidate is expected to drive key performance metrics across the communications spectrum including increasing positive media coverage, cultivating local media and key opinion leader networks, increasing awareness of the Tote Board brand, and strengthening digital and social media presence. The key responsibilities are:Develop and execute strategic communications plans to enhance Tote Board\'s brand and thought leadership in our operating spacesLeverage digital communications to grow our engagement with partners and industry stakeholdersLead the production and enhancement of key strategic and corporate comms assets, including the Annual Report, corporate video, and corporate websiteProactively engage with media and manage media relations, including editor briefings and media interviewsDevelop speeches for senior managementLead overall crisis/issues management and strategyRequirementsWhat we are looking for:Trained in general disciplines of study, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or New MediaMinimum 10 years of proven experience in public relations, communications, or corporate branding with at least two years in a supervisory roleStrategic thinking in developing and implementing successful integrated communications campaignsStrong understanding of the media landscape and ability to build relationships with key stakeholdersKeen eye for news and identifying publicity and branding opportunitiesGood media relations and strong people skills to manage internal and external stakeholders at an advanced levelSense and manage social, cultural and political sensitivitiesInterest in social sector developments and the non-profit sectorNote: This is a fixed term contract position.Join us and help us to achieve our compelling vision of a caring and resilient Singapore.The successful candidate will be appointed into a position commensurate with his/her work experience.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.About Tote Board:Established in 1988, Tote Board (Singapore Totalisator Board) is a statutory board of the Ministry of Finance.
