Roles & Responsibilities We are looking for a Data Governance & Management leader to implement the data governance framework across the organization's platforms.
Working with System Owner, provide leadership to ensure the implementation of data architecture and management solutions (metadata management, reference data management, master data management, data lineage, data profiling and quality, business glossary) in the data analytics platforms.
Working with the Chief Data Officer and System Owners, your responsibility ensures that data collected in STB from all platforms enable sharing of data across platforms, fostering collaboration internally and amongst the tourism eco-system stakeholders. You play a critical role in developing a data strategy for governing and implementing STB's Tourism Data Reference Model across STB's platforms. You also play a critical role in developing Master Data to manage STB's strategic data asset across the platforms.
Main responsibilities include(1) Data Governance and Data Management in Stan

• Maintain and develop data governance and management related frameworks and processes to manage data throughout its data lifecycle in Stan, which is a key enabler platform to build and enhance data analytics capabilities of the tourism industry.
• Collaborate with business and IT groups and industry stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of data governance and advocate data management practices for STB-industry data.
• Participate in Stan project discussions with vendor and internal stakeholders so as to guide the team in the implementation of data management solutions (metadata management, reference data management, master data management, data lineage, data profiling and quality, business glossary)
• Guide the team in identifying common dimension tables across multiple datasets to enable data consistency and integration. Ensure tables are up to date and meet business needs.
• Develop and lead the team in communicating and implementing processes to be followed for data quality, metadata and master data management.
• Endorse the data architecture, functional and design specifications for data management to ensure that the solutions in Stan meet the business needs and conform to the data governance framework and best practices
• Manage data integration to create a robust tourism data hub
• Lead the team in the development and conducting of data management trainings and associated communication rollouts to internal and industry stakeholders
• Drive data quality culture by working with business units and industry stakeholders to define data standards, monitor data quality metrics and conduct root cause analysis
• Ensure data quality metrics and performances are formally reported, internally and externally as required.
• Ensure compliance to government data policies and regulations, as well as advise on data to be collected to serve business need
• Lead the team to implement audits for data quality in Stan and to work with data owners to ensure data quality

(2) Data Standards

• Responsible for overall management and strategy planning to implement data standardisation across STB
• Develop and maintain data standards in STB's Tourism Data Reference Model which will be implemented across STB and will be a reference for relevant stakeholders in the tourism industry. This will also enable data collaboration and analysis across STB and industry data and enable inter-operationality of systems.

(3) Master Data for Organisation and Visitor

• Develop and review strategy and implementation roadmap for organisation and visitor-related Master Data
• Enhance master data management for Organisation to support development of Stan including industry stakeholder delegation, organisation master data reports.
• As custodian of organisation and visitor master data, to provide input and requirements to align the master data across all of STB systems.

Job Requirements At least 8 years of working experience, preferably in a similar role

• Experience in data architecture and data management tools
• Knowledge of data governance and data management frameworks and processes
• Experience or familiarity with data warehouse
• Knowledge of data quality concepts.
• Possess understanding of data related government regulatory requirements
• Good communication skills

• Systems Development, Implementation & Operations - Reviews broad level system specifications and functional solutions, taking into consideration users' requirements, industry best practices and pushing boundaries of current practices
