The Assistant Director (Information Technology) plays a key strategic and operational role in driving digital transformation across the organisation. He / She will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, lead the adoption of new technologies, and ensure cybersecurity and data protection measures are robust and compliant. The role is critical in ensuring the organisation's IT infrastructure supports its mission and long-term strategic goals. This is a three-year contract position with the potential for permanent conversion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic IT Leadership
Develop and lead the organisation's IT strategy aligned with long-term business goals
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies (e.g., ERP, HRMS, RPA, AI) to improve efficiency and service delivery

2. IT Operations & Systems Oversight
Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including network infrastructure, systems administration, and user support
Lead the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of IT hardware and software
Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are up to date and tested
3. Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Develop and enforce policies for information security and data privacy (e.g., PDPA compliance)
Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents
Ensure data governance and compliance with regulatory standards
4. Project Management
Lead cross-functional technology projects, ensuring timely delivery, scope adherence, and budget control
Liaise with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and system integration
5. Team & Stakeholder Engagement
Manage and develop the IT team, including hiring, training, and performance management
Provide guidance and support to senior management and the Board on IT matters and digital strategy
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organisation
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
At least 8-10 years of progressive IT experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
Proven experience overseeing enterprise-wide digital transformation projects
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, data protection regulations, and IT governance
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
