The Role

The incumbent will assist the Director of Sales to increase wholesale/ leisure client base through consistent solicitations while establishing trust and rapport with clients to generate and boost revenues for the Hotel. He/ She services new and existing accounts to ensure repeat business. This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Talent Profile

  • Identify business trends and marketing opportunities that can improve the hotel\'s performance.
  • Ensure that the KPIs for sales goals and segment revenue are met
  • Continuously solicit for new business that expands our client base using action plans focused on the market segment identified by the Director of Sales
  • Prospecting and growing accounts, handling incoming leads and closing sales
  • Develop channel strategies including driving new in-market agents acquisition and sales
  • Develop new distribution capabilities working with partners to identify new distribution trends & platform within the region
  • Participate in the sales meetings by sharing latest market trends and new business development opportunities and activities
  • Coordinate co-promotional campaigns to strengthen demands for in-markets and branding.
  • Maintain strong business relationships with both overseas and inbound distribution partners including wholesalers and travel agents
  • Plan, execute and follow-up on sales trips as approved
  • Attend tradeshows, travel functions, major business functions or as required/directed by the Director of Sales
  • Organizes familiarization of hotels and their facilities with clients and potential ones
  • Support and assist in the development of the annual Business Plan, Hotel Budget and Marketing Plan as requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Gain excellent knowledge of the hotel facilities and services in the Hotel and apply that knowledge in selling against our competitors.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Take ownership of daily sales activities and maximize the productivity by following a system of weekly and monthly action plans.
  • Demonstrate good working relationship with other departments maintaining effective communication and teamwork
  • Adhere to all established policies and procedures relating to administration of accounts and ultimate booking of business.
  • Other duties assigned by the Director of Sales when required from time to time.
