What the role is:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Director in the Office of Significant Investments Review in MTI.
What you will be working on:
As the Assistant Director of the Office of Significant Investments Review in the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), you will be part of a pioneering team that will: o Develop and implement policies to safeguard Singapore's economic security in response to emerging trends in the global economic, geo-political and security environments. o Closely engage and provide guidance to industry stakeholders on regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance to regulations and prepare recommendations on corrective actions. o Regularly review policies to ensure a progressive regulatory regime that is responsive to the global climate and business needs. You will have the opportunity to: o Shape and implement polices which will have a long-term impact on the economic security of Singapore. o Develop a keen understanding of the intersect between policy and commercial frameworks from both a domestic and international perspective. o Establish deep working relationships across multiple agencies and industries (both locally and internationally)
What we are looking for:

• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills o Excellent writing and communication abilities o Able to work well independently while being a strong team player o Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and emerging/nascent areas of work o Willing to learn new skills including conducting investigations, policy communications and market surveillance/monitoring
