[What the role is]

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s central bank and integrated financial regulator. [What you will be working on] \xe2\x80\x8b

  • You will lead MAS\xe2\x80\x99 efforts to develop cross-border payments linkages with bilateral and multilateral partners, cementing Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s position as a leader in shaping the regional payments landscape.
  • You will be a key member of the MAS representative time in the ongoing Phase III of the BIS Innovation Hub (BISIH) Singapore Centre-led Project Nexus your role as Deputy Project Country Manager, supporting the Singapore Country Manager and Singapore Project Steer Co member.. You will support and coordinate Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s involvement in the development of in this multilateral cross-border payments connectivity project . Your duties include the following:
  • Working with other MAS departments and the industry stakeholders (e.g. Association of Banks in Singapore, the FAST payments rail operator, participant banks etc.) on policy-formulation and product-development for Nexus,, coordinating inputs and formulating MAS\xe2\x80\x99 positions. This includes updating and seeking inputs where needed from the recently established MAS-ABS Steering Committee for Governance of PayNow Cross-Border Payment Linkages which meets on a quarterly basis.
  • Representing and advancing Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s interests and inputs at regular project calls and meetings in order to reach agreements for common goals and outcomes.
  • Regularly tracking progress of Nexus Phase III work, coordinating and escalating matters to various workstreams as needed to ensure issues are resolved and timelines met.
  • Supporting MAS\xe2\x80\x99 Nexus Project Steer Co representative with making decisions at Nexus Project Steer Co meetings, and for matters raised on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Supporting Country Manager in his update and briefs to MAS\xe2\x80\x99 senior management and other agencies on key developments, especially where relevant work can be profiled at meetings including ASEAN Head of Government/Ministerial-level meetings.
  • You will support meetings and partnerships with bilateral and international government agencies who are interested to exchange information and explore joint projects where they relate to cross border payments. This will also include staffing high level meetings with MAS\xe2\x80\x99 senior management and relevant teams.
  • You will support the team\xe2\x80\x99s participation in MAS events such as the Singapore FinTech Festival and Point Zero Forum, focussing on payments\xe2\x80\x99 related agenda and programmes at these events where they relate to cross border payments. This will also include staffing high level meetings with MAS\xe2\x80\x99 senior management and relevant teams.
  • You will need to regularly provide latest information and relevant inputs to MAS departments, other government agencies, bilateral partners, the industry and the media (via our communications team) on the Nexus project .
[What we are looking for]
  • Degree in any discipline; prior experience in FinTech/Payments industry or in Project Management/Relationship Management roles will be given additional consideration
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills who can forge effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to reach common goals and outcomes
  • Excellent project management, writing and presentation skillsSelf-motivated and resourceful; able to effectively multitask and deliver outcomes under time pressure, both independently and in a team
You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and development
