Job Description


What the role is:To lead the formulation and review of infocomm media (ICM) manpower development strategies, policies and programmes to ensure Singapore continues to have a pipeline of high quality ICM professionals today as well as in the future.Responsibilities

  • Strategise and develop talent attraction initiatives to to help Singapore position itself to capture opportunities in the digital economy
  • Build Singapore as a digital talent Hub with a vibrant eco-system of tech, talent and opportunities
  • Enable Singapore Graduates to support and ride the waves of digitalisation and the digital economy
  • Create a Lifetime of opportunities for Singapore and Singaporeans in the digital economy.
  • Integrate tech talent strategies across Singapore, covering educational institutions, CET/adult learning, global/foreign manpower, scholarships, etc.
  • Prospect for and generate partnerships with industry and institutions to train and place locals into tech jobs, both locally and abroad.
  • Work with tech companies in Singapore and tech leaders to pursue talent policies and develop innovative projects.
  • Shape the lives and livelihoods of fellow Singaporeans.
  • Lead in the development of end-to-end customer journies of IMDA\'s manpower programmes
  • Lead in the development and provision of data-driven reporting on key manpower indicators. This will aid in policy-making, operational excellence and overall customer and user satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams of officers of varying backgrounds.
  • Experience in the tech industry or a public sector organisation in industry development and manpower policy & planning would be advantageous.
  • Good leadership, management and team-building skills. Able to both implement operations and plans with the present, while anticipating and planning for the future.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabitilies.
  • Ability to masterplan, connect dots and networks, frame issues strategically and translate these into tangible, implementable programmes.
  • Strong self-motivation and result-orientation
  • Ability to achieve operational excellence and deliver outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively, clearly and effectively with range of stakeholders including senior decision makers, colleagues, industry stakeholders and members of the public.
  • Ability to handle complex issues in a sensitive manner.
