Job Description

What the role is:The individual supports the Director of Sector Capability Development Department to drive the projects and initiatives to monitor, analyse and generate insights to support the charting of strategies to drive the growth, productivity, and transformation of Singapore\'s accountancy sector, as well as support the implementation of the Accountancy Workforce Review Committee\'s recommendations to strengthen the attractiveness of the accountancy sector and grow Singapore\'s pool of skilled accounting professionals to meet industry needs. As part of the JD, the individual has to lead and manage research projects with local and international stakeholders, including professional bodies and institutes of higher learning to develop and implement relevant industry development strategies, such as the annual AE Survey conducted by ACRA. The individual is expected to produce quality research outputs and content in the form of articles and reports to promote industry and jobs transformation, as well as provide secretariat support to relevant committees and workgroups by working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and track the progress in the implementation of the Industry Transformation Map and Jobs Transformation Map for Accounting Practices and In-House F&A Functions.What you will be working on:

• Coordinate and help chart strategies to drive the growth, productivity and transformation for the accountancy sector o Monitor and analyse business and technology trends, and gather data to generate insights to strengthen Singapore\'s accountancy sector \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with public and private stakeholders to support a steady pipeline of future ready, highly skilled accounting professionals for the industry o Support the department to implement the Accountancy Workforce Review Committee\'s recommendations to strengthen the attractiveness of the accountancy sector and grow Singapore\'s pool of skilled accounting professionals to meet industry needs \xe2\x80\xa2 Produce quality research outputs and content in the form of articles and reports to promote industry and jobs transformation o Plan, design, collect, manage, analyse, generate the AE Survey (annual) project o Lead for the team in matters pertaining to data governance and requests o Conduct/collaborate with other stakeholders (professional bodies, agencies) to conduct relevant studies / roundtables to produce relevant strategic insights to develop the accountancy sector

What we are looking for:

• Professional Qualifications in Accountancy / Business / Business research / analytics \xe2\x80\xa2 Strategy planning / consulting / research \xe2\x80\xa2 Prior experience in public policy / accounting / audit / sustainability will have an added advantage
