What the role is:The role of AD Technology Translation, Technology Office (TO), is to drive capability developments in digital technology for MCI. Every digital tech brings along opportunities (e.g. Web 3.0, quantum, or AI) and risks (e.g. online harms). This role looks at how technological systems and talent base could be applied for Singapore to enable opportunities as well as mitigate risks.What you will be working on:TO sits at the intersection between MCI\'s senior management team and the executive agencies so that it could help bridge higher level strategies or policies with ground-level deliverables. Some of the activities to be undertaken by the incumbent are as follows: \xe2\x80\xa2 Sense make to have a good understanding of the key emerging digital technology areas \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop tech strategies and policies that will guide capability developments in digital tech and application to the information domain. \xe2\x80\xa2 Drive digital technology development and R&D programmes by tapping on available funds (e.g. NRF\'s Research Innovation and Enterprise [RIE] funds) \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with the ecosystem (academia and industry) to develop translation strategies and plans \xe2\x80\xa2 Network and develop digital tech ecosystemsWhat we are looking for:A technologist who has: o at least 6 years of experience working in a relevant digital technology sector (e.g. infocomm, AI, cyber security, IT, media technology). He or she should have experience working on and leading some tech development work. o a keen interest and awareness in digital technology. o the ability to relate with technical and non-technical (layman) people alike. He or she should be able to communicate technical ideas in an effective manner with senior management. o a keen eye on opportunities in exploiting the technology, and in the potential risks it brings, the ability to network and work well with technical experts.
